Who is Krystal Gorman?
Raised by my grandparents in a Catholic household, I was grounded in faith, service, and a deep respect for community from an early age. The values of compassion, empathy, and personal responsibility were not just taught—they were lived daily. Those principles continue to shape my worldview and guide my commitment to public service.
As an artist, caregiver, and Board Member of the Cecil County Arts Council, I am dedicated to strengthening our community through creativity and care. The Arts Council’s mission—to support, promote, and advocate for the arts throughout Cecil County—reflects my belief that the arts are not a luxury, but a vital part of a thriving, connected community. Through leadership and collaboration, we work to expand access to the arts, empower local artists, and ensure cultural opportunities are available to all.
My experience as a caregiver has deepened my commitment to protecting the dignity of our seniors, supporting families, and advocating for those who are often unheard. I believe strong communities are built when we show up for one another—especially for the vulnerable and overlooked.
I am committed to leading with integrity, listening with empathy, and serving with purpose. For me, public service is not about position—it is about responsibility, compassion, and the unwavering belief that we are strongest when we care for one another and stand UNITED.
